For over 15 years at BUMA Group, I have built a cross-functional career journey—spanning accounting, strategy, sustainability, and alumni community development. Each role has broadened my perspective on how organizations can grow while creating meaningful impact.
I currently serve as the Future Hub Senior Manager at PT Bisa Ruang Nuswantara (BIRU), a subsidiary of BUMA International Group focused on education, workforce readiness, and strengthening alumni communities.
One of the most memorable milestones in my journey was initiating the Wifepreneur and Community-Based Business programs during the pandemic. I contributed to empowering women and communities around our sites to stay productive, independent, and confident.
To me, every role is an opportunity to grow and drive positive change.

15 Years with BUMA and BIRU
As a Project Manager and Engineer with BUMA and the BUMA International Group, I have been with the organisation (including the previous ownership of the Australian Operation) since 2013.
Starting as a casual engineer whilst finishing my engineering and business degrees I was drawn in by the positive atmosphere and extensive development opportunities; I quickly realized the value of the graduate program. This initiative allowed me to hone my technical and mining skills prior to graduation, setting a strong foundation for my career.
Valuing staff development and developing depth of experience is a key philosophy at BUMA and in my career I have been fortunate to work on site in a number of different mines and to have learnt skills like the operation of the 220t Komatsu 830E haul trucks. This hands-on experience was instrumental in my professional growth and added immensely to my development.
My career has been both challenging and rewarding. As a production supervisor, I successfully oversaw crew safety and production, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding hard work, loyalty, and contribution. In 2020, with the support of my colleagues, I passed the challenging QLD Site Senior Executive (SSE) exam, further enhancing my expertise.
More recently I have had the opportunity to visit Indonesia and Singapore as part of the Delta Explorer program. This high quality future looking program provides strategic understanding and leadership across the BUMA International Group business and allowed me to meet colleagues and share perspectives on our goals and vision for the future.
Throughout my time with BUMA, I have embraced opportunities and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. I look forward to what the future may bring.
11 years with BUMA
BUMA has been my first and only professional home. My journey began with the BUMA Management Development Program, where I had the privilege of wearing many hats and overseeing a diverse range of projects. From crafting effective maintenance plans, providing on-site maintenance support, and developing maintenance strategies, to budgeting and meticulous asset management, I've been fortunate to contribute to various facets of our operations. Calculating Repair & Maintenance budgets for new project tenders has been both challenging and rewarding. Every task is infused with my passion for our company, its leadership, and its people. I want to keep on growing together with BUMA.
16 years with BUMA
I joined BUMA since I feel connected to the company’s values. After spending 3 enriching years with BUMA, I embarked on a new adventure within our dynamic family, transitioning to the holding company, BUMA International Group, where I manage Corporate Finance This move has allowed me to expand my horizons and contribute to the broader strategic vision of our organization and personally complete my trajectory as a financial professional, exposing me to M&A, audit, treasury, fundraising, M&A, due diligence etc. I'm excited contribute to the company’s growth, and engaging with colleagues who are so much fun.
5 years with BUMA and BUMA International Group
In 1989, I left East Nusa Tenggara for Mamuju in search of work and found my path with BUMA, a company initially focused on plantations before entering the mining industry. I have witnessed numerous changes and growth expansion over my 34-year with BUMA, However, two things have always remained constant throughout the years: a commitment to the safety of the employees and their families, which has always been a top priority, and a deep sense of unity among us.
BUMA's evolution has brought extensive advancements to its employees through technology, facilities, and more. I hold hope that BUMA's spirit of innovation and growth will continue, not only for the company but also for the success of our extended BUMA family.
